About the Event
On May 25 and 26, 2019, the first Central Asian Moot Court “Gavel” will take place in AUCA, where students will be arguing in a simulated international investment dispute.
Moot court is a simulation of court sessions, where students prepare their written memorandums for a particular fictitious case and appear before the real judges and experts. Gavel Moot Court will bring together 50 students, where half of the participants will be from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan and the rest from Kyrgyzstan. Leading investment law experts from different law firms, government agencies, and university professors will judge students' presentations and share their experience in multi-million international investment disputes. Gavel Mutter Court is organized by the C5 + 1 Youth Council within the framework of improving the business integration of Central Asian countries and increasing the competitiveness of the local business.
